The Private View was held on the evening of June 1st; over 150 attended. The Guest of Honour was Alford Gardner, one of only two known surviving adult passengers on HMT Empire Windrush in 1948. Invitees comprised those who appear in the exhibition as well as those who had supported the Kickstarter funding campaign. Wray & Nephew kindly provided their legendary rum-punch cocktails.
